How To Throw A Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party

If your daughter wants to have a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party, then you're in luck! It is easy to decorate for, and parents can think of plenty of Strawberry-themed games and activities. Not only are the decorations and games easy to manage, but the food is delicious as well. Kids and grownups alike will enjoy any party in which this sweet-smelling, spunky redhead makes an appearance.

The first consideration for a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party is the decorations. Party supply stores sell a host of Strawberry Shortcake-themed plates, napkins, cups, and more, so parents who are short on time will be able to decorate beautifully without spending time making strawberry-covered tablecloths and banners. Parents with a little more time on their hands can decorate red balloons with strawberry seeds to make strawberry balloons, or blow up Strawberry Shortcake and friends coloring book pages for posters and birthday banners. Bright red, white, and light pink are the main colors in Strawberry land, and parents won't have any trouble finding tablecloths and party streamers in these colors.

Many games can be modified to be "berry" fun for the kids at a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party. Use a blown up coloring book page or a Strawberry Shortcake poster to play pin the strawberry on Strawberry Shortcake's hat, or pin the tail on Pupcake. Parents can also sew together strawberry-shaped red felt cutouts, and then fill the strawberry-shaped cutouts with beans. These strawberry pillows are great for a game of who stole Strawberry's strawberry, or a strawberry-themed version of hot potato. Near the end of the party, parents can hand each child a coloring book page to color, then glue each child's colored page to a sheet of card stock to make a take-home placemat.

Perhaps the best part of any Strawberry Shortcake birthday party is the food! Parents can really be creative with their favorite strawberry recipes, and kids will love the shortcakes, chocolate-covered berries, strawberry preserves, punches, and pink ice cream. Parents will be delighted too, since strawberries are filled with vitamins and nutrients.

As children leave your daughter's Strawberry Shortcake birthday party, they're sure to have smiles on their faces. Hand them some strawberry-themed party favors on their way out the door, and the smiles will last for hours.
