A friend of mine told me that his mother always calls him a few days in advance and says: "Dear son, I just call to let you know that I don't want you to buy me anything for Mother's Day."

You know what happens? For sure he doesn't forget Mother's Day. And for sure he will buy something.

Mothers are just very intelligent. :-)

You have a mother? Give her the deserved special attention for everything she has done for you. One spectacular gift are chocolate dipped strawberries . My mother just loves them (at least once or twice a year, because otherwise she’s really calorie conscious).
