>,
Don't you love spring? After a long and cold winter everyone gets so tired and the only thing they wish for is SUN. Just a little bit sunshine and some warm days.
Just in time for May we had the first outdoor barbecue of the year and inaugurated our new grill.
Ok, it was not really outdoor: the grill was outdoor, but because the evenings are still very fresh, we had to sit inside in order to be able to enjoy our meal :-)
Here's a new strawberry recipe which you can use as salsa for your grilled meat or sausages. The taste is sweet and sour. And our guests liked it :-)
Strawberry Pineapple Salsa
Ingredients
* 1 cup (250g) pinneapple
* 1 /2 cup (125g) mango
* 1 cup ( 250g) strawberries
* 1 tablespoon ginger
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice
* 2 teaspoons sugar
Directions
Dice pineapple and mango. Hull and dice strawberries. Put all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth.
If the mixture is too thick you can add a little bit of water. Add sugar to your liking.
The salsa can be kept for up to two days in the fridge and is enough for 8-10 persons.
